| Q. What is it? A. An annual camp held each Summer for families that have adopted from India and other countries who have an interest in exposing their kids to Indian culture and meeting and socializing with other families that have adopted (or are in the adoption process). Q. Where is it? A. For the last six years the camp has been held at the Green Lake Conference Center in Green Lake, Wisconsin. Q. When is it? A. The date for the 2008 Camp is set for July 10-13,2008. Details on the camp will be released in the next few months. Registration is now open! Q. Where do all the attendees come from? A. All over. States represented include Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri and even Alaska! Q. How do we get involved? A. Check out the newsgroup located at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mwihc/ and check back to this page for details. Q. Who runs this event? A. This is a 100% volunteer, non-profit enterprise run by the parents and children attending the camp. As we set up the schedule of events, we will post a list of needed volunteer positions on this page - let anyone on the Steering Committee know if you would like to volunteer for any particular activity! Q. Can I help organize the 2008 Camp? A. Absolutely! Nominations for the 2008 Steering Committee are open - please e-mail us to join up! We will also be requesting all parents to volunteer for events in the registration materials. Q, Will our family have fun? A. Absolutely! :) Q. We never attended in the past. Will that matter? A. Absolutely not. While there are many families that come every year and plan their summers around the camp, new families attend and are welcomed openly into the camp community every year. |
